Hundreds of Cars, Kit Car Hall, Haynes Museum Live Workshop and Autojumble Stalls All On Display This November

It may still be the summer, but classic car and motor restoration enthusiasts need to mark the weekend of November 2-3 in their diary as the Footman James Classic Vehicle Restoration Show returns to the Royal Bath & West Showground at Shepton Mallet.

From completely untouched barn finds to pristine concours examples, The Footman James Classic Vehicle Restoration Show embraces anything and everything restoration. No matter how far through the project you are, how much budget you have or your level of expertise, you’ll find what you need during the third and final Bristol Classic Car Show of 2019.

Trade spaces are selling out fast, and the club spaces are full, promising something for everyone during the weekend, such as up to a thousand cars on display and exactly what you need for your restoration project. Visitors can park in the Classic Car Park, which is one of the highlights of the annual show and sees thousands of spectators, photographers and journalists among the row upon row of cars.

From a wide variety of owners’ clubs doing restoration work, to the autojumble and specialist trade stalls, there is something for every classic car fan. Haynes International Motor Museum will once again be bringing its live demonstration workshop, where visitors have the unique chance to witness a classic car being restored to its original beauty, with the professionals giving a step-by-step analysis of the work they are doing, and answering questions from the public. Alongside the live demonstration, the famous museum will be bringing along a whole host of rare and vintage cars from a bygone era to enthrall visitors.

Traditionally bringing as many as 100 lots to go under the hammer, Charterhouse Auction is sure to cater for all tastes, budgets and interests! A full line-up will be announced closer to the show, keep an eye on our website for further details.

Returning for 2019, the Kit Car Hall will be full of cars, displays and stands, providing you with inspiration for your current or next project. Alongside the many clubs in attendance, the Complete Kit Car magazine team will also take their place within the Kit Car Hall, being on hand to talk all things kit cars, offering free advice and showing off their must-read magazine.

The Action Model Centre will be bringing along a ‘have a go’ track in the hall, so you can try your hand at something new and exciting. Relive the excitement you felt when you first experienced remote control cars for the first time, by whizzing the cars round a specially designed race track.

As if there wasn’t enough for visitors to sink their teeth into over the course of the weekend, the show’s sponsor, Footman James, will be bringing a very special car along. Last year the specialist classic car and motorcycle insurance company treated everyone to a Bugatti which won the 1933 Monaco Grand Prix, so whatever is in store for 2019 is sure to get pulses racing. The special car will be announced closer to the show so keep an eye on our website for all the latest.
