Over the weekend 3rd and 4th of November 2018 This very rare Standard motor Car will be appearing on the Footman James own stand at the Footman James Classic Vehicle Restoration Show at the Shepton Mallet Showground

In 1960 the Vignali designed by Italian coachbuilders was replaced by the luxury six.

This new vanguard featured an all-new six-cylinder engine fitted with twin carburettors which would see service for many years as the power plant for the new triumph range of saloons and TR sports models.

The new 1998cc unit developed a smooth 80 bhp in this original form, a marked improvement on the old four-cylinder engine. The luxury six sold in healthy numbers (nearly 10,000 cars) during its short production run.

The model was replaced with the triumph 2000m1 in 1963 using the same power plant.

The current guardian Darrell Cunningham has a fully documented history on this actual car including its once titled owner Sir Charles Fergusson 9th baronet of Kilkerran.
